Downtown Deets: Professional Development for Small Businesses January 12, 8:30 a.m. Downtown Partners, Inc. is excited to launch a new Downtown Deets professional development series designed to equip local entrepreneurs and small business owners with practical tools to strengthen their marketing and customer reach. The January session will feature Tara Louisa Allen, marketing educator, strategist, and founder of Eagle Eye Vision Consulting LLC. As Lead Faculty of Marketing Management at Kirkwood Community College, Tara blends real world strategy with purpose driven learning and is known for engaging, hands on workshops that help small business owners confidently use new tools, especially AI. Training Topic: AI in Action: Smarter Social Media, Stronger Connections, and More Customers In this interactive workshop, participants will explore how AI can help small businesses attract attention, build loyal connections, and increase visibility on today’s most active social platforms. Attendees will learn how to: Understand their audience and what they truly need Analyze competitors and uncover growth opportunities Create authentic content that engages and converts Tara will guide participants through AI prompts that simplify marketing, clarify messaging, and save valuable time, all without added costs. The session is ideal for both beginners and those already experimenting with AI tools, and everyone will leave with strategies they can implement right away.
