Thank you for your interest in the Welcome Home Grant. This program will annually award up to $4,000, $1,000 a year for four years, to a college graduate who is originally from Des Moines County and has accepted employment in Des Moines County. Applicants must remain employed by the same employer for the four-year period to receive the full grant amount.
To be eligible, the applicant must:
- Graduated from a high school in Des Moines County
- Have graduated from a two or four-year college or university
- Have accepted an offer for a position at a Partnering for the Future III business relocating back to Des Moines County
- Not currently reside in Des Moines County as of August 1, 2022 and has lived outside of Des Moines County for 5 - 15 years.
Application Process:
- Preference will be given to employers with matching funds
- The applicant will complete an application and submit additional materials including resume, temporary transcript, and proof of loan amount
- One new grant winner per year
