The Greater Burlington Young Professionals Council is excited to host the 2022 Regional Young Professionals Conference. New in 2022, Young Professionals will be attending the conference from surrounding areas such as Monmouth, Galesburg, Fort Madison, Keokuk, and more. The afternoon will feature keynote speaker Ann Menke, Founder and Shareholder of Menke & Company with her presentation, "A Woman of Distinction"; Listen as Ann recounts the story of how she paved her own path to success and became a beacon of influence in many communities.
Following Ann Menke will be Jennifer Glendening, owner of Barn on the Ridge. Jennifer believes that there’s a delicate art to hospitality. You’ve heard the phrase “the devil’s in the details” and Jennifer aims to teach you just how much those details matter when dealing with customers, business partners, coworkers, and beyond. Learn valuable tips and tricks that will help you feel more confident in professional settings with her seminar, "Hospitality: Not just an Industry, but a Way of Business".
Our last breakout event of the afternoon will be a Speed Networking exercise. Young Professionals will sit in groups at tables with company presidents, CEO's, and business leaders for a chance to flip the script, and interview them to create a portfolio of business tips and tricks from many important voices in the Greater Burlington area. This is also a great opportunity to make connections, trade business cards, and network.
This conference will also feature:
Networking Lunch - enjoy lunch and play 'Young Professional Bingo' for a chance to learn a little more about your Young Professional peers. This easy game takes all of the stress out of awkward ice-breakers.
Headshot Photo Booth - update your old headshot, or take your first, at this free headshot photo booth. We'll take care of the editing, you take care of updating that old LinkedIn profile.
