Clothesline Project Shirt Making Event

Thursday, October 8, 2026 (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

The Clothesline Project is a visual display of violence statistics that often go ignored. Each shirt displayed is made by a survivor of violence or by someone who has lost a loved one to violence. Community members are invited to join us in a shirt-making session on Thursday, October 8 from 2-4 pm in Room 201 at SCC West Burlington Campus. These shirts will be featured in the October 13 display and are an opportunity to share a personal story, send a positive message to victim-survivors, or to provide statistics on the frequency of violence. This event is free and open to the community. Come and go as you please during the event. Please enter the 300 Building from the Circle Drive on the South Side of Campus. The classroom is immediately to your right upon entering.
