Fall Cemetery Tour

Description

One of Iowa’s oldest cemeteries opens its doors – and, perhaps, some of its vaults! – to visitors. With cemetery director Mike Bloomer and members of the Des Moines County Genealogy Society. This event is free and open to the public.

The tour group will gather near the Corse Street entrance to the cemetery just prior to 1:30 PM; the Corse street entrance is not open to vehicles on weekends, so please use the Sunnyside Avenue entrance, then proceed south and east through the cemetery to the oldest section. Visitors on foot may access the cemetery at Corse Street.
