Respighi's shimmering Fountains of Rome captures the eternal city in all its golden beauty - water dancing in light, the air alive with color and sound. Grieg's beloved Piano Concerto in A minor is one of those rare works that feels both achingly intimate and gloriously sweeping, a piece that has moved audiences to their feet for over a century - and this season, it is brought to life by the extraordinary hands of pianist Spencer Myer. Rounding out this spectacular evening is Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition - one of the ten most recognized orchestral works in the world, bold, vivid, and absolutely thrilling in the hands of a live orchestra.
