Award winning Iowa City textile artist Astrid Bennett creates beautiful – and often functional – art quilts, mixed-media wall art and more, bringing her experience as both a musician and a painter to creating unique fabric art.
Meet the artist during the artist reception from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, September 1. Both the reception and the month-long show are free and open to the public.
The Art Center is open Tuesday -- Saturday at 10 AM; closing times vary. The Gallery Lounge at the Art Center offers lives music, wine/beer, charcuterie and an inspiring atmosphere surrounded by artwork every first and third Friday from 5 to 8 PM.
