Burlington Civic Music, the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra and the Capitol Theater team up to bring one incredible evening of film and music to downtown Burlington.
This extraordinary performance pairs the legendary silent film The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928) - one of the greatest silent films ever made - with a live performance of Richard Einhorn's evocative oratorio Voices of Light, featuring the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra and choral accompaniment.
The result is a deeply moving fusion of powerful live music, groundbreaking cinematic achievement and passionate voices that bring the Joan of Arc story uniquely, unforgettably to life.
Because of its emotional intensity, this performance is recommended for ages 12 and older.
Adult tickets are $50 and include a pre-concert social hour with complimentary hors d'oeuvres beginning at 5:30 PM in the Night Cap Listening Lounge; doors open at 6:30 PM for general admission seating and the performance begins at 7 PM.
Tickets are available at seiso.us.
