National Weather Service (NWS) meteorologists will teach attendees about severe storms, how to identify cloud features and other environmental clues to spot severe weather storms and tornadoes.
Communications systems and spotter networks are also explained, so that attendees know the proper way to report information and how that information is used by the National Weather Service and local officials.
Who can attend? This program is open to the public; anyone 10 years and older is welcome! If your child is interested in attending the course, they are welcome to attend with an accompanying adult. No pre-registration is required- just bring yourself!
The class lasts about 2 hours.
