Overview:
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the creative and strategic marketing of The Capitol, a 350+ seat restored theater, and Night Cap, an upscale bar and listening lounge. This role involves promoting a variety of events, including movies, theater performances, concerts, and comedy shows, to attract and engage both new and existing customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Conceptualize, develop, and produce high-quality marketing content, including social media posts, videos, graphics, posters, flyers, press releases, ads, and photographs.
- Digital & Social Media Marketing: Manage and execute social media strategies to enhance visibility and engagement across platforms. Regularly update and moderate the website with fresh content.
- Event Promotion: Collaborate with The Capitol & Night Cap teams to creatively promote drink specials and all live performances, films, special events, memberships, sponsorships, and volunteer opportunities.
- On-site Content Capture: Work periodic nights and weekends to attend events, capturing live content for real-time and future marketing use.
Skills & Experience:
- Design & Media Tools: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva for graphic design and content creation.
- Video Production: Experience in video production and editing, including familiarity with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
- Copywriting: Strong copywriting skills for creating compelling marketing materials and promotional content.
- Social Media Management: Hands-on experience with social media platforms and tools, with a focus on increasing engagement and reach.
- Event Promotion: Proven track record in promoting events and driving attendance through targeted marketing campaigns.

Reporting:
Reports directly to the Executive Director.
