The Congregational Way is a way of following Christ. It emphasizes the tradition of a free church, gathered under the headship of Christ and bound to others not by law but by love. Congregationalists do not seek to be led by a creed, but by the Spirit. Therefore, a creedal statement is not required of members of the congregation. Our purpose is to gather a fellowship of Christian people who with the rights of private judgment, seek to follow the way of life given by Jesus of Nazareth. Our fellowship is based on the acceptance of a covenant rather than on uniformity of belief.
